King Ahadi

Here's my version of Ahadi's adult design!

Ahadi was born as prince and formed a very strong bond with his father, Mohatu. Ahadi was always enthralled by Mohatu's lessons and as a result grew to be especially skilled at maintaining balance in the kingdom and keeping order among all the creatures that dwelled in his land. 

As an older cub Ahadi was introduced to Uru, a young lioness from a pride in the jungle who he was betrothed to, and the two quickly became close friends. Eventually Uru was brought as an adolescent to live in Mohatu's pride and learn the skills needed to become a good queen.

Ahadi became very close to a baboon, Rafiki, who had saved his life as an adolescent.

Although Ahadi and Uru were only close friends, never in love, they stayed as 'mates', committed to their kingdom, and birthed an heir, who they named Mufasa. 

Ahadi was happy to allow Uru to also have another cub with a lion from a neighboring pride with whom she loved, and personally declared him to be the second in line to the thrown. He was named Taka (Later to become Scar). Though Ahadi did not give too much attention to Taka, focusing on training his own son.

Ahadi was celebrated as an extremely successful leader, along with Uru-in which the two had the perfect combination of skills to maintain a happy, healthy kingdom. 

Uru eventually left the Pridelands after refusing to believe a prophecy about her son, Taka. Ahadi let her go, knowing how much she couldn't bare the pressure of the prophecy and the choices it had caused for her. 
Ahadi stuck around to watch his son, Mufasa grow into a successful king. Though worried about Taka, he did not banish him as a result of the prophecy, as Mufasa would not allow it. Any attempts to get closer to Taka were unsuccessful.

Eventually Ahadi died of old age, unfortunately before his grandson, Simba was born.
