Just studying hyena anatomy CX

As much as I think The Lion King is an amazing film, try to see hyenas in a different air! They're extremely fascinating animals and my favourite ^^

How about some hyena facts I've collected over the years?

-Female hyenas are much bigger than males and run the clan as the matriarch, and are usually more aggressive.

-Hyenas are closest related to mongooses and meerkats

-Female hyenas have genitalia very closely resembling male genitalia. They have what resembles testicles and a penis (which they give birth out of-OUCH)

-Hyenas have extremely strong jaws, stronger than the majority of animals in the animal kingdom.

-Hyenas live in clans~

-Hyenas are not just scavengers like most people believe. Some studies have shown that they actually kill around 70% of their food
